Profile
Mark is a 1976 graduate of the University of Minnesota’s Law School. He is licensed
to practice in Massachusetts, and is admitted to practice before the federal district
court of Massachusetts, the First Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
He joined Goodman, Shapiro & Lombardi, LLC in April 2008.
Mark has over 30 years of varied litigation experience. Prior to joining Goodman,
Shapiro & Lombardi, LLC his practice has focused on defending claims against corporate
officers and directors for mismanagement and securities law violations and defending
professional liability claims against accountants, lawyers, stockbrokers, architects,
engineers, real estate and insurance agents. He now is involved in litigation involving
condominium associations and in related insurance issues.
Mark has lectured at various continuing legal education programs on accountant malpractice,
defense within limits professional liability insurance policies, insurance coverage
for directors and officers and starting and running your own law firm.
He is a past chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Insurance Law Committee and the
Solo and Small Firm Practice Section.
In addition to his professional activities, Mark has served on the building committees
for the renovation of the elementary and middle schools in Needham, MA where he
resides with his wife and two children. Mark has also provided representation on
a pro bono basis to individuals on a wide range of legal matters. Mark is active
in many social action projects both through his synagogue (of which he is a past
president) as well as a volunteer for community projects to help the disadvantaged.
